New Update

Hi, this is Dave Benyo. We just got informed by a nurse that Dana has been moved to his new bed. It's this really sophisticated looking bed that will swing back and forth to relieve pressure from his back, letting the spine settle. This is a huge step and one that they didn't know if they'd be able to perform until he was ready.

The nurse also informed us that when she told him he was going to be moving to another bed, Dana shook his head up and down indicating he agreed. Once he was in his new bed, she informed him and he shook his head again.

We're also told that they are not going to be using the bed's rotating mechanism yet as they don't use this type of bed very often. They are awaiting a representative from the bed's company to come and start the bed's motion and to oversee the progress.

At this point they're still not allowing visitors, but we're outside in the waiting room waiting patiently to see our Dana!

Dana:

We are all praying and pulling for you down here in Greensburg!

I know that with your strong will and positive attitude, you'll be back.

I didn't want to mention this.....if you need a old bald nurse, I can check with Mike LeRose about doing some private duty for you.

Take care and keep your chin up, you have a great team of people with you.

Regards: Steve F.

I am getting limited information from my mom, but this family sure does know how to communicate, so you know that I am getting updates.
I wish I could be there right now with you, so know that you are all on my minds. I love you all so much, and will see you tomorrow when we arrive. Keep up the cheering, and Dexter and Jessy stay out of that room.. give poor DB some rest. I love you.

Happy Birthday Dana!

To Dana's family:

Dana's TEPPCO family has him in our thoughts and prayers. So many of Dana's colleagues/co-workers here in the Corning Office, throughout the Northern Region, and across the Company are pulling for D.C.

If there is anything the crew here in Corning can do locally to support Courtney and the Carr family, please let us know. We will be standing-by.

May God bless Dana and the entire family,
Ryan R. & the Corning Staff

We are thinking of Dana at this time and it's reassuring knowing how strong willed he is that if anyone will make the best of this situation it's him. He has a very loving family around him, the greatest of friends and you couldn't ask for a better supporter and loving wife than Courtney. Everyone take care of each other and we will try to get there to be a physical presence. Just know you are all in our thoughts and prayers. ~James & Kara Sheehan

To All the Carrs,

My entire family is sending lots of good karma and positive prayer your way. We are grateful to hear good news, and expect that only such news will continue!

As for birthdays, 7 is a lucky number in many cultures, and now you have four of them under your belt, Dana.

Do not forget to have a little down time, everyone, so you can keep up your strength and positive attitude.

I learned in grad school that most probably Dana can hear and understand everything you say, so keep encouraging him and let him know how many hundreds of people are "rooting" for him. If possible, lightly touch his chest while speaking to him.

We love all of you, D, C, J, L, and R.

Dana and Courtney,
Shannon and I have placed you on our church prayer list, our family prayer list and in our daily prayers. Dana, you are such a strong amazing man. You will pull through this! We are cheering you on all the way from Springville! And Courtney, our thoughts are with you. Please let me know if you need anything at all. Ernie needs Dana to get well too, after all he needs someone to play with! Please let us know if there is anyway we can help! We love you both so much and pray God to give you the strength you are going to need in the days to come.
All our love,

Ari and Shannon
