Reporting in....

We hope we didn't upset all of our virtual waiting room viewers by not updating the blog until now. The truth is, we all kind of needed a little time today to catch up on some things and refresh our minds.

Dana's progress still has not changed a whole lot. But, that being said, he's still doing well. The physicians do have a game plan for next week, but once again it will all depend on how Dana's doing. At this point, they'd like to do his back surgery either Monday or Tuesday. A day or two after that they'll reset his elbow and do some skin grafting. They're hoping the Wound Vac takes care of most healing on his arm, but that might still need some skin grafting.

It's just one of those days where you sit and wonder how this kind of thing happens. But we also talked about how it makes you realize how in times of need your family and friends reach out and keep you going. It's been a trying time but knowing all of you are there, we know we have some great things to look forward to with Dana...in time. Thanks for your patience today with waiting for an update.

You have done a great job of keeping everyone updated. I think of all of you often each day. I know I have already said it but if you need anything down this way please do not hesitate to let me know. Dana continues to show how incredible a person he is in all meanings of the word.

Hi Carr Family,

Please, please, please don't feel you need to post notices on any particular schedule. You are doing a great job. You have nothing to apologize for. You are not required to notify us morning, noon and night. Do this on YOUR schedule. We will take whatever we can get. Am sure the letter from Lance means the world to Dana.
We love you and think of you all the time. Please give a hug to Dave B. from the Lake family and to yourselves as well. Wish I could it myself in person. We know how hard this is and keep you close in our hearts.

Love from the Lakes

Dear Carr family...Uncle Terry just got his almost mightly vanilla black raspberry twist, and Aunt Judy a yogurt...Ken Wilson, his sister, his mother and EVERYONE at The Glen Dairy Bar in Watkins Glen, NY wanted us to post a comment from them that they are ALL holding Dana in their thoughts and prayers. Ken Wilson said he can't wait for Dana himself to come get some icecream! (As well as Dana's Mom Ms. Tasteefreeze, we are sure!) Awesome response from Lance Armstrong! As Dana said to Aunt Judy awhile back on her reaching an excersize plateau..."Just kick it up a notch Aunt Judy" That would be our Dana! Love and Hugs...

Thanks for keeping us all up to date. This period of waiting has to be tough on you as well as Dana.

All his Bison teammates are pulling for him. Go Dana!
